Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Willow Park, 101 Crown Point Blvd, Willow Park, TX 76087
  • Work environment: Texas Health Willow Park, a department of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth provides 24/7 Emergency Care close to home and as a full-service ED with highly qualified nursing staff provides care for a wide variety of patients from pediatric to seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries. The facility is a 10-bed emergency department, located about 20 miles west of downtown Ft. Worth, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When seconds count, you can count on Texas Health Willow Park.
  • Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts,7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Willow Park, an integrated health campus owned and operated by Texas Health Resources, opened in eastern Parker County in January 2015.

Willow Park, located about 20 miles west of Fort Worth, is a fast-growing Parker County city of more than 4,000 residents. Texas Health Willow Park features a freestanding emergency department, fitness center and three-story medical office building and serves communities like Weatherford, Aledo, Hudson Oaks and Annetta.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
  • PALS – within 90 days of hire required
  • NIHSS – within 90 days of hire required
  • TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
  • ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire
  • 1-year clinical nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program required
  • ED experience strongly preferred – will consider ICU, PCU and Tele experience

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

  • demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Position Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • assesses the patient
  • plans the care of the patient
  • intervenes as appropriate
  • evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
