Walworth County Care Center in Selby, South Dakota, a 50-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility is looking for a full or part time Registered Nurse (RN) to add to our amazing team! As the Charge Nurse RN, you are responsible to delegate the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. In the absence of the Director or Assistant Director, you are charged with carrying out the resident care policies established by our facility.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Implement physicians’ orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patients' needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the facility.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Active applicable state licensure
• American Heart Association issued BLS
• Clean background check and clean drug screen
