Established Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in North Bethesda/Rockville area is in search of an experienced RN for flexible part-time employment up to 3 8 hour days (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) per week + one Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. every other month. Limited Saturday hours are available for optional coverage, with the hope this will grow to a full-time position. Hours will vary each week from 8 - 28 total hours. You will serve as a back-up to an existing RN and will fill in when the schedule allows.

We are looking for a motivated, dependable, patient-oriented RN to provide medical assistance to the Surgeon in all areas of patient care, conduct minor aesthetic treatments, and interface with patients on our treatment options in-person and on the phone. Primary duties include daily patient care, providing support and assistance to the Surgeon, patient consultations, scheduling surgery, securing pre-authorizations, ordering and organizing medical supplies, and performing other clinical duties as directed by the Surgeon. Opportunities to learn and perform aesthetic treatment is envisioned.

This job includes assistance with general office functions, primarily answering the phone and/or reaching out to patients to discuss our offerings/pricing etc. You will also be responsible for managing patient recall for all RN patients.

RN Responsibilities:

· Coordinates and directs all paperwork and medical records for patients, including consents and other required releases, informed consent, etc.

· Directs patient intake and discharge. Ensure patient is given full details of the procedure to be performed. At discharge, provides the patient with full written post care instructions.

· Hands instruments and supplies to the surgeon, hold retractors and cut sutures, and performs other tasks as directed by surgeon during procedures.

· Prepare patients for procedures.

· Maintains all medical equipment and related inventory, verifying that routine and periodic maintenance procedures are performed and logged.

· Perform other clinical and office duties as assigned by manager. Including answering the phone and interfacing with and calling patients to discuss our services and offerings.

· At the direction of the Surgeon, performs or assists with minor aesthetic treatments including chemical peels, microneedling and CoolSculpting.

· Maintains and grows aesthetic patient database and helps manage RN patient recall process.

· Grows social media following by sharing information about procedures performed with before and after photos.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
