BrightStar Care North Kansas City is seeking a team of nurses to provide one-on-one care to a patient in their home environment on a 24/7 schedule.

Our client is in her mid-forties with paralysis of bilat upper and lower extremities due to an injury (C5-C7 spinal cord injury). She experiences numbness, tingling and muscle weakness. She requires assist with catheterization, medication preparation and administration, bowel regimen, nutrition, repositioning/transfers to wheelchair as tolerated and ADLs. She transfers with a slideboard or a Hoyer lift. Our client is cognitively aware and oriented to person, place and time. Our client lives at home with her husband, two children and three dogs. Our client enjoys remaining active in her children's lives and is looking for a nurse who will accompany her on routine outings.

To be eligible for this position, you must been COVID vaccinated, non-smoker, reliable, enjoy being around pets and family, feel comfortable working in a home setting, have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, electronic documentation skills, and comfortable with updating a care plan with new orders/communicating regularly with client's physician.

RN Requirements:

• Current unrestricted RN license in MO
• Reliable car and auto insurance
• Valid Driver's License
• Current CPR Certification (BLS- Red Cross or American Heart Association) *we offer a class at a reduced cost if you need your BLS*
• Negative TB test within last year
• Clean background and criminal record
• COVID Vaccine
• Non-Smoker (must be able to pass nicotine test)
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
