Recorder Clerk II - Recorder's Office (Prescott) Job at Yavapai County Human Resources

Role

Under general supervision performs work of moderate difficulty in the recording process.

Major Duties, Responsibilities

  • Interpret and process recording documents, including receipting, balancing cash and check receipts, labeling, scanning and basic indexing of documents presented for recording utilizing a computer and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist customers in locating real estate and other documents as requested, both in person and by telephone.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Expectations:
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with customers and county employees.
  • Perform recording duties in an accurate manner, paying attention to detail and consistency.
  • Communicate effectively and verbally by phone and in a face to face setting with public and employees.
  • Multi-task as needed to maximize efficient use of time.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible work experience in a land title or real estate office or related field.

Education:
High school diploma or GED.

Other Skills

Interpersonal Skills:
Work occasionally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate co-workers generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information that may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (citizens or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing normal assistance to provide information.
