Receptionist/Medical Office Assistant Job at Shepherd Hills Eye Care Center
We are looking for a receptionist and medical administrative assistant for our well-established optometric office just west of Allentown. This individual must be professional, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a busy office environment. The position’s responsibilities are, but not limited to, performing general office duties, receptionist duties, and assisting in other functions of a medical office.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Verify patient's demographics and insurance information at each visit
- Schedule patient appointments
- Collect any amount due at time of service
- Verify insurance eligibility and determine patient's benefits prior to visit
- Perform preliminary testing on patients
- Enter notes into patient's chart when necessary
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills:

- Strives for accuracy and is very detail oriented
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Well organized
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment as well as work independently

Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required. While this position is full-time, qualified candidates seeking part-time hours of 24-30 hours per week will also be considered.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
