DUTIES: Under indirect and intermittent supervision, in work requiring the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility; to perform a wide variety of moderately complex administrative responsibilities supporting the Ameren Real Estate Department in accordance with Company practices and procedures, including but not limited to the following: Process damage claim payments and recording. Process rental payables and receivables. Index and maintain corporate files pertaining to property and right of way acquisitions and material related thereto. Deliver deeds, easements, etc., to City and County Recorders for recording and pick up after recording. Deliver and pick up documents required by title companies. Obtain routine permits from public authorities. Deliver and pick up material needed by other members of the Real Estate Division on assignment in outlying territories. Occasionally to accompany other members of the Real Estate Department in performance of such duties. Other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: For holding as confidential information relating to all aspects work. Utilize appropriate software and systems in performance of job duties, such as, but not limited to Microsoft Office or other corporate software and web-based programs. Proper and safe utilization of office equipment in the performance of job duties. Operate a motor vehicle in connection with the foregoing. Ability to adapt to changes in systems, applications and procedures. Adhere to strict deadlines. Ability to work in a team environment.
CONTACTS: Personal and telephone contacts with municipal, County and State employees in connection with permits, recording of easements, deeds, and mortgages and with general public in connection with departmental matters. Contacts with employees in various departments of the Company in connection with duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily in an office environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree from an accredited college, university or junior college, or 60 hours of credit towards a Bachelor's Degree. One year of clerical experience. Must earn recommended score on the EEI Data Entry Test and the Clerical Aptitude Battery (BCAB).Indicated ability to deal with general public; some knowledge of municipal and county governmental operations preferred.
