RCM/Payer Contract Analyst Job at United Digestive
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Contract Analyst is responsible for reviewing payor contracts to ensure accuracy payment to contracted rates. Identify opportunity to improve contracted rates through contract comparisons. The primary responsibility for this position is ensure fee schedules are loaded accurately, maintained, and reviewed to prevent contractual disputes and identify potential risks.

To be successful in this role, the Contract Analyst will be highly capable in the following areas:
- Large data analysis and modeling capabilities in Excel & Power BI are critical.
- Demonstrated proficiency in analytical, statistical, and business intelligence tools
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills and ability to work with detailed financial information with accuracy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated communication skills with a variety of audiences, including department management, organizational leaders, physicians, and staff members using presentations, spreadsheets, and written documents.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and within team
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Model managed care contracts through available modeling tools
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of reports
- Based on data sources identified, extract and manipulate data from databases
- Audit monthly data loads of the End of Month data within the eCW and contract model tool
- Design, implement and maintain new and existing contract profiles
- Research and Troubleshoot pricing discrepancies with clients and colleagues
- Model impact of contract negotiations
- Build internal benchmark database
- Evaluate M&A contracts vs benchmarks
- Serve as SME for FinThrive including contract terms, fee schedules,
- Responsible for maintaining fee schedules in FinThrive/eCW/etc.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance or related field is required; 3-5 years of experience performing business analysis; evaluating trends and patterns in a healthcare business, and creating business/operational performance models; advanced skills in Excel required and will be tested; knowledge of Power BI is highly preferred; high degree of managing multiple assignments concurrently with exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to travel periodically; healthcare experience required.
