Position Highlights

• Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
• Work environment: Radiology Interventional Services
• Work hours: Mon-Fri 7:30-1800p rotating days off. 4 day weekend every 5 weeks. On call required: On call 1/3 of the time. Total of 4 out of 12 weeks.
• Sign on Bonus for eligible new hires (eligible upon hire with 2 year agreement)

Qualifications - External

• Associate Degree in Applied Science (required) OR
• Completion of an accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology (required) OR
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ work experience in Invasive Cardiology (required)
• 1 Year experience (preferred)
• 2 Years’ experience with high school diploma Required
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required) OR
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (required) OR
• RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (required) AND
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT AND
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

Position Responsibilities Texas Health Interventional Radiology Techs are responsible for assessing and recognizing the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Interventional Radiology Tech will

• scrub in with radiologists, imaging and circulating.
• prepare the room for examination.
• handle patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging.
• demonstrate knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment therapy.
• administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
• process and manipulate images, analyzs image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
