Our Technical Ceramics business works in selected segments of the electronics, energy, healthcare, industrial, petrochemicals, security and transport markets, typically in close collaborative customer relationships.

Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, will provide Customer satisfaction through conformance validation of products, materials, supplier certifications, supplier services, etc. Inspection procedures and processes will be routine in nature.
Duties
- Maintains that correct parts and documents are delivered to the Customer.
- Maintains adequate statistical sampling.
- Authorizes acceptance of receiving items/services.
- Authorizes shipment of products by issuing an accept tag.
- Performs Calibration Technician duties consistent with experience level.
- Performs basic inspection operations using standard measuring instruments, manual optical gaging devices and operating CMM and OGP with existing programs.
- Contributes to corporate goals for:
- 100% IFOT
- Process yields
- Scrap
- Customer returns
- Safety programs
Education/Certifications/Specialties
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
1-2 years experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 1 year measuring and evaluating product compliance.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
- Basic knowledge of math.
- Basic knowledge of the use of standard measuring techniques and instruments.
- Able to operate CMM and OGP using existing programs and set-ups.
- Knowledge of Morgan’s Quality Systems, Policies and ISO standards
- Basic Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Outlook skills
- Verbal, written and listening communication skills.

- Interpret mechanical drawings.
- Ability to statistically determine appropriate sampling plans.
- Ability to review paper documentation, determine compliance to requirements, and accurately record results.

- Read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
- Maintain mental concentration for entire shift in order to complete job duties.
- Hold, lift and move tools, equipment and materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- See adequately to type, write, read and proof various documents.
- Maintain hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate gages and instruments.
