Quality Manager

On-site 5767 Thunderbird Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236

A Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and executing inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that products adhere closely to company standards. They prepare reports by collecting data on inspections or other aspects such as production line cleanliness which are analyzed in detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain, revise, and create Controlled Documents and supporting documentation as needed to cover the entire manufacturing process and supply chain operations (door to door oversight)
• Implement effective SOP/GMP employee training and assessment
• Identify compliance issues/risks and provide corrective and preventative actions
• Represent Vesta and maintain professional contact with industry and regulatory personnel
• Oversee quality system and process procedures
• Conduct internal audits of Quality System
• Assist PCQI in maintaining FSMA Compliance
• Maintain cGMP Certification
• FDA GMP Compliance
• Complete cGMP and SOP Training – refer to Training Matrix for complete list of SOP training required for Quality Manager
• developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages, and writing reports documenting
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience
• Experience in quality management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working in food manufacturing or familiarity with FDA and cGMP is a plus
• CFR 21.111 experience
• Detail oriented and ability to thrive in a team environment
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Proficient in technology and general office equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• 8 hour shift
