Comp$25-$30per hour with overtime available

Our client is and will remain a mid-sized, privately-held company dedicated to building superior laboratory equipment. For more than 95 years, they have lead the industry by focusing on our quality, customers, and people. We take genuine pride in ensuring we are providing the best equipment and service they can, and that starts in our Production Areas! In order to provide their customers with the highest quality products, they are looking to add an additional member to their QA team to perform inspection and testing of products. They are seeking a highly detailed QA Inspector familiar with ISO9001 certification with strong communication skills looking for a long-term employment opportunity.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
  • Perform incoming inspections, First Article, in-process and final inspections.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required
  • Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics.
  • Document and report inspection findings, results and monitor corrective actions.
  • Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per requirements.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
  • Communicate with Engineering to ensure schematics, manuals and products are in compliance with all design requirements.
  • Document information in various databases and other internal programs; log non-conformities and generate a Rejection Material Report (RMR).
  • Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Ensure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, and overall appearance, etc.

Computer Skills/Other Skills and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software including the use Word, Excel and Power Point software and must be adept to using e-mail. This person should be able to effectively communicate and work well with other associates in the organization. They must have the ability to read prints and drawings, bill of material parts lists in order to perform first article inspections and understand visual, mechanical and cable assembly inspections. Familiar with ISO 9001 certification or similar Quality System is preferred. Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented. This individual must have the ability to use a wide variety of testing and measurement equipment such as close tolerance gages, multi meters and other electronic measuring devices. They must follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures and comply with all quality, safety, work rules and regulations.
