Quality Control Technician Job at Velcro USA Inc.

Job Objective: To conduct quality control testing on laboratory samples per established testing procedures and methods, document results in accordance with records and traceability requirements and support ongoing improvements to products, processes and laboratory practices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct QC testing and inspection, determine acceptance or rejection, and recording results per established procedures and specifications and standard workflow
- Process QC rejections using established Nonconforming Process and software applications
- Provides inputs to daily QC lab metrics such as daily failures and releases
- Participates in QC Lab team activities including communication meetings
- Maintains QC Lab safety
- Perform QC lab housekeeping tasks
- Prepare accurate and complete certification documentation
- Support special testing requests, included selected documentation
- Revise QC Lab documentation as needed
- Ensure all documentation is accurately filed in designated electronic or physical locations
- Support calibration team as needed
- Support internal audit team as needed
- Participate in Engineering, Manufacturing and QC Lab improvement projects
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- QC Lab Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Reading specifications and drawings
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Computer skills, including:
- data entry
- MS Office applications
- ERP System transactions
- utilizing test equipment software, such as” Testworks”
- Nonconforming Material processing software such as “Everest”
- Basic Problem Solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use test and inspection tools and equipment
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships within the team and across the organization
