Tosoh Quartz, Inc., the world’s leading producer of quartz glassware for the semiconductor industry, is growing and seeking a Quality Control Inspector 1 to join our team! Successful individuals in this role will assist in determining fabricated/machined quartz product acceptance using a variety of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers and gages) and specifications, ensuring our product meets the industry quality standards. Other responsibilities for this position include:

  • Perform incoming, in-process and final dimensional inspection using a variety of gages; micrometers, calipers, test indicators, height gages, based on the drawing of the product to be measured.
  • Perform visual inspection against internal/customer cosmetic specifications.
  • Document inspection results per customer requirements.
  • Bag and label product per customer requirements.
  • Perform daily checks of gages.
  • Interface with Manufacturing and Engineering regarding product quality issues.
  • Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in special projects, as appropriate.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 1 year or equivalent experience in an inspection or Quality Control environment
  • Experience of with interpreting mechanical drawings
  • Additional experience of applying inspection methods and proper use of inspection equipment used to determine product acceptance

**NOTE: This position will train during the day (M-F 8 am-4:30 pm and after training is completed, the work schedule changes to swing shift (M-F 1:00 pm-9:30 pm.)
