QA Inspector - 2nd Shift

WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections to include incoming, first article, in-process and final inspections on a variety of products with extreme accuracy, proficiency and precision.
  • Accurately utilize micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, depth micrometers, CMM, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other equipment used to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Generate and evaluate inspection reports accurately and completely.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
  • Ensure products meet tight tolerances in a fast paced, production environment.
  • Identify, quarantine and take corrective action on discrepant product or material.
  • Identify correct plastic materials and proper material handling processes as they apply to the manufacture of parts.
  • Participate and support plant safety policies and assist in instructing employees on safe work habits.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork required.
  • Assist in other work areas as needed.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Associates degree in a relevant field or 3+ years of quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience in a production environment a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Climate controlled work environment.
  • Will work near moving mechanical parts and machinery. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Usual work day is 8 hours, but may be required to work on your feet for 10 – 12 hours.
  • Need to be able to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation.
  • Overtime may be required on employee’s day(s) off.
