The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a seasonal Quality Assurance Data Entry Clerk at our Toma-Tek facility in Firebaugh, CA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

Summary: Collects data, updates and develops new and existing databases; works with large amounts of numerical and text data for Pouch & Industrial Departments. Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices Policies (GMP’s) Safety and Health Hazard Analysis and Critical Control (HACCP) procedures are being followed at all times. This is a seasonal, non-exempt, temporary job supporting our fresh pack season, typically June – October.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enters data into appropriate fields; databases, records, and files in Excel and Word.
• Maintains hardcopy and electronic records, databases and reports.
• Generates and modifies Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
• Reviews and verifies confidential and/or private customer information.
• Runs reports to ensure data entry accuracy and verifies data by checking and comparing source documentation.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of the position.
• One-year experience in data entry and maintaining documentation, preferably in a food manufacturing laboratory or quality control environment.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and written in English.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Compensation:

The hourly wage is $15.50 - $17.55, based on experience and qualifications.
