A rapidly growing property management company in exciting downtown Dallas is seeking a take charge property accountant.
MUST HAVE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT/MULTIFAMILY ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE
- Responsible for a portfolio of properties, including the monthly preparation of financial statements, income statements, variance analyses, property/tenant statistics, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Full accounting responsibility for an assigned group of properties-including monthly and annual closings, recording of amortization and depreciation, accrual adjustments, and month-end journal entries.
- This role will also prepare annual budgets for properties and respond to any questions from in-house asset managers and outside auditors.
- The Property Accountant will also work with Property Managers, responding to inquiries and questions regarding the assigned properties in the portfolio.
- Monitor property cash flow, reconcile bank accounts, and coordinate with accounts payable.
MUST HAVE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT/MULTIFAMILY ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE
.Education and Experience Requirements:
- Accounting Degree required
- Multi-family property accounting experience required.
- 3+ years of relative experience
- Team player
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Detail oriented
- Previous property management software experience required.
