DPW PROJECT MANAGER / ENGINEERING TECH – MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP. Seeking a qualified professional to work at the direction of the Township Engineer and public works managers to assist in department’s operations management and organization. Successful candidate will perform limited but skilled project management and expedite necessary tasks associated with engineering, construction, recycling, property maintenance, fleet maintenance, road maintenance, utility work, accounting and general administration. Duties include ability to professionally correspond verbally and in writing with contractors, utility companies, residents, other departments, etc., perform mathematical & financial calculations, prepare reports, documents, and spreadsheets as needed, analyze budgets, prepare requisitions, assist with timekeeping, perform site visits and measurements, expedite projects components for the Department. Knowledge of civil engineering projects and construction operations is a plus. Computer/Technical Skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Google applications including Docs, Sheets and Drive is required. A working knowledge of GovPilot, VueWorks, Access is a plus. Use of AutoCAD and CAD design tools is a plus. Knowledge of financial software & spreadsheets and budgeting calculations is preferred. Project Management. The successful applicant will be required to work independently and continually manage ongoing projects including: Written correspondence with contractors regarding bids, quotes, ongoing issues, etc. Follow up with residents and representatives from other departments and governmental agencies regarding ongoing issues with roads, drainage, parks, buildings, public properties, facilities, etc. Work Experience / Education. The successful applicant must have work experience similar to the tasks listed above in a professional environment. The candidate must be able to interact professionally with the public in-person as well as via phone, emails and formal written correspondence. The ability to write professional business letters, reports, spreadsheets with tables/charts, and emails is required. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field is required. A Professional Engineer’s license is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
