Project Coordinator

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Power Delivery Project Services Group VII department in Houston, TX. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team working closely with the Project Manager in the coordination of engineering projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting, organizing, and reporting project tasks, under the direction of a Project Manager. No travel is required for this position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• A self-starter who works independently and as part of a team

• Has an intermediate understanding of projects and how they work

• Tracking and reporting project deliverables and milestones on multi-discipline complex projects

• Working closely with all levels of management and disciplines/departments within POWER; by coordinating and communicating relevant project information to the team

• Providing high-level coordination, administrative and analytical support to the project team

• Attending project meetings (internal and with the client) at the Department Manager’s discretion

• Assisting with scheduling deadlines and maintaining project deliverables schedules for multiple projects

• Tracking project changes (utilizing both in-house and client applications)

• Ensuring applicable documents are transferred into ProjectWise

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of applicable experience

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Advanced Excel skills are required

• Strong communication and writing skills

• Advanced analytical skills

Desired Education/Experience

• Electrical utilities and power distribution experience is desirable

• Experience with SmartSheet

• Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, and Data Management Systems

• Certification from AACE or PMI
