Program Coordinator - 72 Bed Addiction Recovery Facility, Northern Colorado
Shift: Saturday and Sunday - Permanent Part Time
- 16-20 hours/ week, Hours 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (possible extra shifts as able)
Our partner, Harvest Farm, is located in Wellington, CO, and is a 100-acre working farm owned by the Denver Rescue Mission. Here our partner provides free long-term healing and recovery programs for individuals who have exhausted their recovery choices and are ready for change. A 72-bed dorm style facility, Harvest Farm provides men who are coming out of homelessness and addiction an opportunity to refocus and begin anew, in a fresh rural environment with unique work therapy opportunities.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations, Program Coordinators work on site at Harvest Farms where Program Coordinators are responsible for the day-to-day operations and the activities that take place therein. In addition, the Program Coordinator is responsible for performing UA (urinalysis) testing for residents on a random basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participants
- Enforces the policies for the programs and assists in implementing all disciplinary actions when required in cooperation with the Case Management, on an individual basis.
- Evaluates the performance of all daily work theory position of program participants.
- Devotions: Take roll call, raise issues that need to be addressed, and will generally seek to set an encouraging tone to begin each shift. Communicate all events and necessary information during this time. Close all meetings in prayer.
- Room Inspections: Performing regular bi-monthly room inspection (room inspection policy)
- Random UA's: Ensure the Program Participants are drug and alcohol-free by conducting regular random UA's on all residents on your work shift. This will occur at least twice per month and the results will be entered into Scribe.
- Provide oversight and training for Work Therapy New Life Program participants as needed.
Facilities
- Cleanliness: The Program Coordinator will monitor Program Participants’ cleanliness and report any issues/needs to the Housekeeping Department.
- Assist in Vending operations.
Security and Safety
- The Program Coordinator is responsible for the security and safety of the Program Participants during shift. This includes control of drugs, alcohol, or other hazards, which could jeopardize the purpose of the Mission or its clients.
- It is the responsibility of the Program Coordinator to see that situations that jeopardize the health and safety of the Mission and its occupants are handled appropriately. This means handling difficult and unruly clients, as well as making certain that occupants are free from drugs, alcohol, and weapons.
- Oversee the facility of all participants by calling more senior staff, police and paramedics when necessary.
You Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least one year of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills both written and orally.
- Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong Christian ethic with ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, and religious backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds and to stand/ walk for extended periods of time
We Offer:
- Contract to start at an hourly rate of $19-21/hour
