Production Team Leader Job at Toyo Automotive Parts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Coordinates daily activities of hourly manufacturing associates.
- Makes sure that appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to production schedule.
- Communicates Company related information to associates and answers associate’s questions.
- Reviews manufacturing standards for accuracy and coordinate updates as needed.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed.
- Works closely with various departments to ensure that parts are manufactured according to customers specifications.
- Develop internal production related schedules to ensure that specific machinery within defined area are running the required part numbers.
- Communicates to Supervisor or appropriate management representative any safety, quality, and/or production related issues.
- Coordinate 6s activities of area.
- Provides necessary associate training to new associates.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical experience and education, a plus.
- One to two years previous supervisory related experience.
- Ability to operate forklift.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to use computer, perform basic math, communicate information to small groups of associates.
- Ability to troubleshoot some machine related problems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Oversees the daily work activities of all hourly associates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Light to moderate physical effort required.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand, reach, lift, and move about the facility in order to perform assigned duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work performed in a non air conditioned plant environment.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested
