Summary Plan and schedule manufacturing orders through the Manufacturing Department to meet customer and stocking requirements, to control replenishment orders for finished products, sub-assemblies, recommend changes to product structure to facilitate proper product flow and communicate with internal customers to share information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts, scheduling agreements or customer orders.
• Prioritize, initiate, process, and schedule orders for the manufacture of customer orders.
• Act as a liaison between Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Shipping, Quality Control and Manufacturing with respect to fluctuating delivery information.
• Analyze current and future workloads to determine necessary staffing levels and advise Manager.
• Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing lead times.
• Update Purchasing in accordance with changes in demand and current inventory control objectives.
• Review MRP output and recommend changes to schedules, staffing, systems, processes to improve overall production efficiencies.
• Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Work with production to maximize output and customer service by establishing priorities.
• Monitor past dues and ensure they are being minimized.
• Monitor customer orders and make necessary changes to the system to meet customers request date.
• Alert Purchasing teams of any piece part shortages for short-term planned orders and long-term planning needs
• Establish acknowledgement or re-acknowledgement dates for shipping customer sales orders.
• Ensure every effort is made to meet our customers' request dates.
• Monitor changes in customer order dates and update all internal teams as appropriate.
• Recommend changes required to improve our cycle time or reduce our WIP.
• Work with Purchasing team to minimize piece part and WIP inventory.
• Work with Purchasing and Sales group to understand safety stock, requirements and assure the appropriate levels are maintained.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
• Three years related experience and/or training
