Position Summary:
Responsible for the collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and for managing the production launch. Leads and coordinates design/implementation efforts between internal teams and outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solutions. This role will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Starts with the customer and work backwards to define product vision and customer needs.
- Innovates and develops friction-free products that solve problems for loanDepot customers and internal users.
- Manages a strong cross functional team to see their business initiatives from conception through launch.
- Be the end-to-end owner of the product; manages the business case, identifies the value proposition, defines the customer experience, builds out the product requirements, launches plan and sees the business through launch and customer adoption.
- Drafts strategy and product updates for the loanDepot’s senior leadership team.
- Form insights and finds innovative ways to act on these insights, translate ideas into product designs, and harnesses the passion and energy of teams across the company to bring these designs into the world for our customers.
- Shapes the product vision and roadmap, defines the principles and framework that allows many teams to innovate quickly, and integrate these efforts into a coherent whole.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of product management experience, preferably in delivering customer-facing products/services.
- Minimum three (3) years of software development, testing, and technology or product management experience with internet businesses.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience translating customer needs into product features, user interface designs, and pricing models to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
- Experience in market and customer analysis skills with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new areas quickly.
- Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
- Demonstrated ability to define requirements, specifications, and metrics for successful web services and/or customer experiences efficiently and with quality.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.
- Ability to provide consultation and advice to management.
- Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $145,000 and $155,000/year. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
