Position Overview

The Product Design Specialist - Manufacturability Testing will be responsible for performing testing of raw materials, blends, packaging components, and finished products. They will also compile and organize data that will be used to develop high quality products with efficient manufacturing processes.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform bench testing (physical) of raw materials, blends, final dosage forms, and packaging components. Final dosage forms include powdered drink mixes and two-piece hard capsules. Maintain testing instruments.
• Maintain logs and records of testing activities.
• Operate equipment such as blenders, encapsulation machines, and mills for the validation and development of products.
• Obtain raw material, in-process, and finished product samples as required.
• Develop matrices and tools that improve the efficiencies of departmental processes.
• Prepare samples for external testing.

Requirements

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in science related field (preferred) or minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination.
• Detail oriented, effective problem solving skills, and good organization skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work both un-supervised and as part of a team
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime as needed
• Mechanical aptitude

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
