Overview

Bethesda Softworks has an opening for a well-rounded Production candidate. The Producer role within the Central Technology Group is a mixture of communications specialist, business analyst, and project manager. Strong candidates have managed high profile, cross-functional teams with a mixture of engineering, QA, marketing, legal, and finance experts. Ideal candidates will have delivered cross-functional, high-quality projects on time with consistent success. Lastly, a successful candidate will be energized by the challenge of creating and fostering highly productive, self-organizing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and own timelines
• Coordinate the change and approval process
• Communicate with the Lead Producer, Production Director, and Studio management to foster strong relationships for a highly-functioning team
• Drive development meetings with clear agendas. Capture action items; radiate information to the team
• Help identify, communicate, and track cross-team dependencies
• Mentor and develop Associate Producers

Qualifications

• Honesty, empathy, trust, and objectivity
• Experience implementing Agile Software Development processes and principles
• A commitment to coaching that fosters an environment of consistent growth and improvement for teams and their members
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrable experience solving modern development problems: estimating work, identifying bottlenecks and dependencies, evaluating work quality, improving development processes, and creating shared definitions of done
• Demonstrable experience using modern production software to schedule and track work
• Strong prioritization skills, both for your team and yourself
• Ability to work effectively with off-site and remote teams, often for extended periods of time
• Comfortable balancing the demands of business flexibility and team stability
• An understanding of OKRs, KPIs, and how they interact
• Strong communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders
• Expertise with relevant documentation, project management, and bug tracking tools.
• Successful crisis and risk management experience
• Strong leadership experience
• 2+ yrs. Project management/Production experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile game development: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Feature-driven development
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and the MS Office suite
• Strong familiarity with Bethesda games
• Game discipline experience: design, art, engineering, QA
