Processing Technician

Overview:

Under the supervision of the Processing Supervisor, monitors seed line operators and equipment during operations to ensure high-quality seed processing and production

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist processing supervisor in all seed conditioning needs
• Responsible for Seed Processing Line Performance
• Lead & monitor the cleaning crew of the seed processing line
• Monitor seed processing equipment during operations.
• Ensure packing quality and company safety standards are met.
• Responsible to inspect and quality check packed products and verify accuracy.
• Interpret specifications and calibrate machines to reach goals.
• Simultaneously operate multiple pieces of equipment to produce products efficiently.
• Train and lead temp labor crews in seed processing functions
• Drive forklift to move inventory, pallets, and other equipment

Job Skills and Requirements:

• Must be forklift certified
• At least 1-2 years of previous related experience
• Demonstrated teamwork
• Strong technical skills
• Able to become forklift certified
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Production or related experience.
• Experience in agriculture.
• General working and mechanical knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at all-times
