Process Technician (Nights) Job at HMS Mfg Co
We are open to a Process Technician or a Senior Process Technician for this opening
As a Process Technician you will be responsible for troubleshooting the injection molding process to ensure machines are working properly, while supporting management to ensure efficient operations and continuous improvements are made. In this role you will also be responsible for changing molds and assisting on the shop floor when needed. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and verify correct set-up of molds, processes, and auxiliary equipment before machine start up.
- Establish proper molding conditions and perform process monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Ensure product quality by adhering to HMS Quality standards.
- Perform mold, material, and tooling change overs as dictated by the schedule and maintain EOAT (end of arm tooling) for automation.
- Follow daily production schedule and prioritize work for improved efficiency.
- Maintain setup sheets, record changes, and notify Sr. Processing Technician, Shift Supervisor and Engineering of issues.
- Maintains 5S housekeeping of work area by removing unnecessary items, organizing storage for efficient use, cleaning and inspecting your area regularly, and tracking progress.
- Adheres to all Safety guidelines and wears proper PPE.
Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience with injection molding setup, start, troubleshooting, processes, and quality systems.
- Must be detail oriented, logical, and methodological in approach to problem solving.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to include technical writing.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
