The ideal candidates will have a passion for nuclear related design, problem solving and the outdoor lifestyle of Colorado. Job Description
Process engineer to work primarily on cutting edge nuclear facility and energy projects. Successful candidate will be assigned to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to execute design and engineering projects.
Scope/Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams / Process Flow Diagrams
- Equipment (compressors, chillers, pumps, etc.) sizing calculations
- Process line sizing calculations
- Relief-device and orifice sizing calculations
- Heat Transfer Analyses
- Equipment and Instrument datasheets
- Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
- Reviewing and checking the work of other process engineers to determine accuracy and completeness.
- Coordination of design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) / Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
- Zero (0) to four (4) years related experience and/or training.
- Experience in Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear projects is a plus, but not required.
- Experience Designing to ASME B31 piping codes including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
- Candidate must be capable of and willing to obtain a Q clearance.
- Fundamental of Engineer (FE) / EIT strongly preferred. Candidate is expected to attain PE at earliest opportunity.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- Previous Merrick experience preferred.
- Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
Physical Requirements
- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.

- Typical salary range for this position is from $67,000 - $75,000. The pay range listed in this posting indicates the position’s eligibility to work in the state of Colorado and is consistent with our offices there; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
