CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA):
Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks PRN (as needed) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to care for residents in Assisted Living, Memory Support, and the Health & Rehabilitation Center. PRN status must meet the following minimum scheduling requirements: 1) work no less than one weekend shift per month; and 2) work one major holiday each year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year).
CNA JOB DUTIES
- Assist in implementing individualized care that promotes maximum independence, safety, and comfort for each resident
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and grooming
CNA QUALIFICAITONS
- Valid certification as a Nurse Aide from the Commonwealth of Virginia and current CPR certification is required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) designation required within 90 days of employment
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with accepted methods and techniques necessary in providing optimal care
- Ability to regularly and safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to use a variety of health care equipment such as lifts, thermometer, and blood pressure cuff
- Prior applicable work experience preferred
