As a Principal Solution Specialist at Apex Silver, you are a subject matter expert in the investment services and/or specific areas or functions within the industry and responsible for ensuring our operations and products in alignment with industry and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for understanding, documenting, and improving all external operational processes that impact Apex Silver services and/or solutions. You will play a key role in guiding integration initiatives between Apex Silver and Apex Clearing teams as they work to enhance data quality, controls and overall business processing - particularly as it relates to Tax, Cost Basis and Wealth solutions. The ideal candidate will be excited to solve problems and build organizational relationships while delivering cohesive solutions.

What you will do all day:

  • Execute on initiatives and key milestones - Produce content on cross functional executive projects and identify key data points and metrics to monitor health of initiatives.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication on key initiatives -Work across all firm functions and levels to serve as a communicator throughout the business.
  • Drive the Operating Cadence - Prepare for and distill the results of townhalls, weekly meetings, and other key events.
  • Give the business a voice - The business has to ensure daily operations run smoothly, but their experience gives them a unique view into how to make Apex better. You will create business cases using data and insights from subject matter experts. You will play a key role in creating a singular voice for business needs.
  • Drive Progress - At a growth company you must continually anticipate needs and get ahead of roadblocks to ensure forward progress.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in specific investment services areas to operations, support, and product team members through training and documentation
  • Analyze workflows and processing bottlenecks; identify and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Influence stakeholders to support business projects
  • Assist with project management for selected projects, Coordinate with inter-departmental teams to produce better business outcomes
  • Test business processes and recommend improvements
  • Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories
  • Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents
  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance
  • Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain reporting or tracking of deliverables
  • Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling
  • Assist with internal training and release elevation
  • Collaborate with product manager on roadmap planning and prioritization

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and 5+ years’ experience as Sr. Business Analyst (or equivalent experience)
  • Financial Services and brokerage back-office operations experience required
  • Desire to dig into problems and collaborate with product owners and developers to solve
  • Roll -up your sleeves and help get the job done” attitude
