ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Know how to start up and shut down the lines * Recognize the different dough textures * Keep hoppers filled with proper amount of dough * Properly measure the minor ingredients by performing catch samples * Check dough temperature General Housekeeping in bakery * Check the flour sifter each shift * Check all drives, cookers, salters, ovens, dryers, discharge, and proofing conveyors to ensure they are properly operating and set to correct settings * Document cuts per minute as required * Check and record caustic every 30 minutes record on BakerQC * Check wet weights/length every 30 minutes record on BakerQC * Make inventory moves in Epicor * Record all ingredient lot numbers * Keep salter full with the correct level. * Notify leads, QA, and packers of any bad product and how long it will last * Communicate with immediate supervisor if any problems arise * All other duties assigned by supervisor and management IN THE EVENT OF AN ABSENCE: Another experienced employee will proceed with doing the essential functions of the job. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma or GED * One month related experience or training * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions * Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. * Ability to deal with problems and find solutions in real time PREFERRED SKILLS: * Ability to work and maintain a clean and safe work environment * Ability to identify defects in product for quality purpose * Ability to communicate with coworkers and management to better the operation * Able to follow directions as required by management PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
