PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Overview: Performs professional instruction and nurtures children ages 2 1/2 to 5 yrs. old.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Plans and executes appropriate lessons.

• Uses effective instructional strategies.
• Maintains proper student behavior.
• Maintains appropriate records.
• Supervises students both in and out of class and at student activities.
• Models good Christian behavior.

Qualifications:

• Has received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Is a member in good standing of an evangelical church.
• Agrees with our Tenets of Faith (see below).
• Has a minimum of 12 ECE units.
• Is immunized agaisnt pertussis and measles.
• Has a current TB clearance.
• Is CPR/First Aid certified.
• Has DOJ fingerprint clearance (preferred.)

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bases all teaching, activities, and programs upon the principles taught through the inspired word of God as contained in the Bible. Connects Biblical principles to subject-matter concepts.
• Translates N.C.C.S. student outcomes into specific objectives for lessons suitable to the age level and developmental needs of the students.
• Motivates students and establishes a climate of love and care that defines responsible Christian behavior for students following the school's guidelines, standards, and policies.

• Keeps current in methods of teaching and the subject area of assignments.
• Works constructively with colleagues and administration.
• Performs student supervision before, during, or after school duty as assigned by the administration.
• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

5. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved into the resurrection of life, and they that are lost into the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).

6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).

7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, I Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18).
