Lead Teacher Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or combination of degree and experience. Should have early childhood classroom experience with one to four years in an early learning center. Passion for creating curriculum and lesson plans for the youngest students to inspire learning through play and preparing our students for success as they transition to Kindergarten. Comply with Bright from the Start’s program requirements to meet the child care and early education needs of the students and their families. Maintain current certification in Child/Infant CPR and First Aid Physical Expectations of the job require that candidates must be able to lift a child weighing up to 50 pounds, sit comfortably on the floor while interacting with children, and change positions frequently during the day

The fire drills will be conducted monthly and tornado and other emergency situation drills will be conducted every six months. The Center shall maintain documentation of the dates and times of these drills for two years

Our school is looking for an experienced, passionate educator to fill the role of Lead Teacher. You will be collaborating with a team of teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure that our students receive the best education we can provide. Key responsibilities include designing effective curriculums, assessing lesson plans, implementing innovative teaching methods, and supporting less experienced teachers in their various roles.

To be successful as a Lead Teacher, you should be someone with s deep understanding of what it takes to teach students effectively. Top candidates will also be excellent leaders and mentors, able to use their knowledge to raise fellow teachers up, and make lasting improvements to the childcare’s educational process.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

• Leading the development of your classroom’s curriculum.
• Assessing lesson plans and current teaching methods.
• Implementing strategies to improve any identified shortcoming.
• Contributing to the leadership and management of the childcare.
• Supporting, guiding, and reviewing other members of the teaching staff.
• Teaching demonstration lessons for the edification of fellow teachers.
• Working with other classrooms to contribute towards the general improvement of the childcare

Lead Teacher Minimum requirements:

• Associate's Degree
• Valid certification (CDA - Child Development Associate)
• Experience lead Teachers must be able to teach and plan their lessons.
• Great leadership and communication skills
• Collaborative and have creative mindset, with an affinity for problem-solving.
• Have a strong passion for the development and education for our children

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
