Sunnyside is a not-for-profit Senior Living life plan community situated on 150 acres in the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley in Harrisonburg, Virginia. More than 500 residents call Sunnyside home.
Sunnyside is currently seeking a Cook to join our culinary team offering contemporary cuisine in an upscale on-site Restaurant located in our Independent Living. This position reports to the Executive Chef and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively and creatively to provide the best possible dining experience to Sunnyside residents. The position is currently available full-time 11:30AM-8PM and rotates every other weekend.
Here are a few ways you can support the team:
- Food prep for service such as chop vegetables, prepare meats, soups and sauces
- Create and executive plated meal services
- Construct paninis and flatbread pizzas in our full service Bistro
- Preparation and stocking of work stations
- Assist with special catering event needs
Requirements:
Sunnyside Communities requires all team members to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19- Prior food service experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work-flow
