Creative Stars Academy Philosophy:

Creative Stars Academy exists to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate , and Christ-centered environment for infants through school age children. Our focus is to provide stimulating, educational, and service-learning experiences which promote each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our goal is to support children’s desire to be life-long learners.

Pre-K Teacher Qualifications:

Must have 4 years (4160 hours) of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.

Education: 4 year degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Early Childhood education or related field is required. Please refer to Minnesota DHS Rule 3 Licensing Laws to ensure meeting qualifications.

Creative Stars Academy Positions Requirements:

Must pass the Applicant Background Study required by the Department of Human Services.
Must have documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. Must meet the qualifications of a lead Pre-K teacher as defined under the Department of Human Services' Rule 3
requirements. Qualifying college credits required and previous experience preferred. Must have the physical abilities to perform the following job duties: to hear the conversational voice with or without a hearing aid to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses to speak and be understood under normal circumstances to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds to use arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job, including evacuation of the building during emergencies. Staff must pass a background study including fingerprinting. Have or be willing to obtain SUIDS, AHT, CPR, and First Aid Certification.

Computer Skills:

Staff must be able to learn the provided software, and to communicate with parents via software.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals, who will help children learn about Jesus, pray with children, help children feel safe, loved and nurtured.
Must have a philosophy of learning through play and creativity and explain how one would do that. We are looking for team workers, as it is not an atmosphere of competition, but one of comradery and ultimately learning and growing for not only the children but for us all as individuals as well in the body of Christ!
