How Will You Make an Impact?

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Planner Analyst to play a critical role in supporting the planning, scheduling, and analysis of street lights and electric construction projects for our utility. The work that you do will ensure the successful maintenance of our street light program and electric construction activities. Additionally, this role ensures Colorado Springs Utilities' ability to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of electric service to our customers. Some of the additional ways in which you will make an impact include:

  • Facilitating and conducting complex analytical planning activities for the schedule and layout of projects, street light assets, and electrical projects

  • Initiating and participating in cost studies and equipment recommendations, manufacturing cost control and reduction, and additional engineering and economic studies

  • Monitoring multiple long-term projects by using analytical reports, resource leveling, forecasting, master scheduling, and clearance scheduling

  • Providing interpretation of specifications and contracts, monitoring construction or maintenance processes, and verifying work is completed in accordance with contract documents or agreements

  • Coordinating and overseeing quality control and work management activities, and performing cost and data analyses

  • Using Outfield, OSI, GIS Collector, Maximo, and Excel to manage complex maintenance activities

Who You Are

  • Relevant and progressively responsible experience in planning, scheduling, and analyzing construction and maintenance projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is valued

  • Knowledge of engineering, construction, and operations work management measurements, principles, and techniques is valued

  • Skill in performing data input and analyses using various software applications (e.g., Power BI) is valued

  • Skill in scheduling, planning, forecasting, monitoring, project monitoring, and developing weekly job schedules and daily work packets
