Physical Therapist Assistant - Full-time - $7,500 Sign on Bonus

Orlin & Cohen, one of the largest providers of musculoskeletal care in the region is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work in a multidisciplinary outpatient facility that promotes collaboration, clinical excellence and an outstanding patient/customer experience, in one of our multiple Queens/Nassau County/Suffolk County offices

In this setting you will work closely with team members and patients to treat and manage a wide variety conditions including but not limited to: sports injuries, joint replacements, fracture care and spine disorders.

Responsibilities Include:

• Administration of direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist
• Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient’s status and reporting it to a physical therapist
• Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
• Educate patients and family members about what to do after treatment
• Submits required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department.
• Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.
• Performs related duties, as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited college, required.
• Must be currently certified and registered as Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State
• Or must have a valid permit and become certified and registered within one (1) year of employment.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred.

COVID-19 Vaccination is required.
