Leaps and Bounds Therapy is a therapist-owned pediatric therapy practice that provides in-home and in-daycare physical, occupatioanl and speech therapy services to children of all ages, primarily serving 0-5 years old.

We currently are seeking short- hour, part-time and full-time pediatric physical therapists in the North shore (including but not limited to Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Highland Park, Glenview, Northbrook, Wilmette, Winnetka and Deerfield) who are interested in providing therapy in the home and in the schools, both privately and through the Early Intervention Program. We provide services throughout Chicago and the north shore but are open to working with you based on where you are located and interested in driving to.

Requirements (education, skills, licenses)

• Current PT licensure in the state of IL
• EI (early intervention) credentialing or willingness to obtain and maintain EI credentials
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Access to a car required
• Experience working with children of all ages with diverse presentations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities:

• Planning for and providing in-home, in-school physical therapy treatment for children on your caseload
• Completing diagnostic evaluations and writing detailed reports.
• Keeping up with service coordinators and making sure all authorizations are current for current caseload in EI program
• Scheduling appointments and make up appointments with clients on a regular basis.
• Maintaining communication with parents and educating them on therapy approaches and strategies
• Collaborating with and maintaining communication with teachers, physicians, parents, therapists and other professionals.
