Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job at CST Academy
We are a private therapy practice serving the greater Chicago area that is therapist-owned and operated. We serve families within a variety of settings including home, clinic, school, and within our therapeutic day school. A candidate can expect to work within all of these settings in the Chicago area. Candidates may have either part-time or full-time availability.
Our diverse client base requires experience working with children with a wide variety of needs; orthopedic, neuromuscular, and developmental conditions including ASD and other sensory and motor-related conditions.
A candidate must be eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, SLPs, and BCBAs. Having previous experience working within a team setting is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Planning for and providing support in our therapeutic day program
- Interacting and supporting lead PTs who oversee the day program
- Assisting with the overall operation of the practice
REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, great references, and an occupational therapy related bachelor's degree (or be pursuing this degree).
Other necessary skills and attributes include:
- Openness to working with children of all ages
- A passion for working with children
- The ability to “connect” with children and parents
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Creativity and flexibility
