The top station in sunny El Paso, KVIA-TV, is looking for a talented, driven photojournalist to join its dynamic team.
You must have strong shooting and editing skills, and a penchant for telling stories.
The candidate we hire should be ready to work with a reporter or on his/her own to gather the best content and images for our viewers. You will be shooting news, weather and sports in the field daily. The pace is quick, the demands are many. This position will challenge you to prioritize assignments, multi-task and meet deadlines. The best photojournalists bring initiative, creativity and heart to their work.
Good news judgment is a must. You have to be able to accurately capture a story through your lens and follow news since you will be expected to ask intelligent, informed questions of newsmakers. Accuracy and ethical decision-making are paramount for us.
Experience with the Adobe Suite is strongly preferred.
The position is contingent on passing a background and drug check.
