We are a small family owned pet care and grooming business looking to hire a motivated individual to join our team. Located in Berryville, VA. We are looking for a groomer who can work 2-4 days a week, preferably including one weekend day. Tasks to be performed:
- Groom animals utilizing varying techniques depending on hair type, coat, breed and owner instructions. Groomers must also perform A La Carte services as well as Soak & Suds packages offered by Ohana Pet Care.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean working environment that includes cleaning grooming table and tub, mopping and vacuuming floors, emptying trash, and sanitizing shared tools (brushes, nail clippers, etc) after use.
- Perform client intake and collect contactless payments when required.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with owners to understand business requirements
About our facility:
We are a small grooming facility with 1 industrial tub and an automatic hydraulic grooming table. Our facility holds 1 groomer at a time, so you must be independent in your grooming. We take one family of pets at a time, pets do not stay in cages, and owners pick up right after their groom is complete. We do this in hopes to keep our grooming environment as stress free for clients as possible. Break/lounge room equipped with food and drinks is available for use in-between grooms.
What we are looking for in a groomer:
- Strength to lift up to 90 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Reliable transportation
-2+ years of experience
- Experienced with a wide range off dog breeds; cat experience is a bonus but not a must
- 2-4 days a week/weekend to start
- Passionate
