Job Summary:

Conduct In/Out processing for students and trainees. Receive and ensure accountability of Military Personnel File/Official Personnel File (MPF/OPF). Provide records maintenance, file, and forward documentation as required. Process reassignment notices for students and trainees thru numerous automated systems to determine assignment eligibility. Maintain Order log. Submit transactions in local and web based automated system to update Soldiers records. Brief Soldiers, prepare reassignment orders, and distribute to appropriate agency. Process individual personnel actions. Conduct Levy briefing. Prepare 1506s as needed. Oversee and manage Reclassification, Airborne and Ranger candidates. Become knowledgeable and proficient in numerous automated systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct In/Out Processing of all enlisted student/trainees arriving/departing Ft Gordon for Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), Reclassification and/or Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) training.
  • Maintain MPF/OPF and ensure accountability of records for all students/trainees under area of responsibility. Prepare new, temporary, or replacement MPF/OPF upon confirmation of requirement.
  • Receive documents, update records, and file or forward documentation are required to appropriate agency to include I-PERMS. Ensure 100% accuracy of DD Form 93 (emergency data).
  • Process reassignment notices thru EDAS, eMILPO, ACT and ATRRS.
  • Ensure ATRRS is updated for each individual to confirm eligibility for assignment or clearance to include the R1 hit list.
  • Prepare and publish Primary MOS orders for the Regular Army (RA) students/trainees attending MOS and/or ASI training prior to graduation as well as prepare and publish their Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders to include any special instructions or amendments needed.
  • Process personnel actions to include but not limited to Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program (HRAP), Married Army Couple, and Name Changes and other personnel actions not identified.
  • Utilize numerous automated systems and web based programs to accomplish the mission.
  • Prepare and publish Primary MOS orders for the Army National Guard (ARNG) and United States Army Reserves (USAR) attending MOS and/or ASI training on this installation prior to graduation.
  • Issue ID Tags as necessary.
  • Prepare and publish special orders such as diversion, reclassification, Airborne.
  • Prepare, monitor and update the Hold under and Hold over Report biweekly.
  • Produce recurring reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Work Environment:

Employee must be willing to work in a construction site and/or outside environments. May be required to wear full Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) which may include, but not limited to, a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Flame Resistant (FR) clothing, safety toe boots, fall protection equipment, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. Employee will perform the services required in office and outside environments during the following hours: 0630 hours through 1530 hours Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.

  • Work is generally performed in an indoor setting.

  • Ability to handle small tools, stoop, reach, maneuver equipment, pack equipment for shipping and or unpack for installation.
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds
  • Visual requirements include the ability to adjust focus on documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • Position may also require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a construction setting, climbing stairs and ladders, working in extreme hot and/or cold environments, working in “confined space” environments, working at height, and working in outdoor conditions in all seasons.
  • Position may require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

Employee can expect annual travel requirements (up to two trips) to Headquarters Air Combat Command and other temporary duty (TDY) locations. Employee will be authorized travel expenses consistent with and no higher than the substantive provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR).
