Personal Support--Job Coach (Ellicott, MD)

In-home 1:1 personal support/job coach for 25-year-old young man with Autism Family in Ellicott City seeking to hire personal support/job coach for 25-year-old young man with Autism. Behavorial Training is a plus. Great opportunity for someone pursuing a degree in special education, psychology, or just likes to work with individuals with disabilities, with a friendly, fun and active family.

Responsibilities This is an excellent opportunity to work in home setting, providing 1:1 support for activities of daily living, community support, social skills training, and recreational/leisure skills.
Activities associated with the job include providing assistance with daily living skills, transporting client to various functions and assisting with the preparation of meals. Incumbents are responsible for the safety and care at all times and documenting the daily activities of client and progress toward established goals.

Duties Job related duties and responsibilities require considerable patience and understanding, the ability to react quickly and appropriately to unpredictable circumstances and good interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills. Job performance is evaluated by the client and client’s family through review of work-related decisions, ability to interact successfully with client and their families and the accuracy and thoroughness of required documentation.
Qualifications and Skills

• Possess at least 100 hours of experience in the field of autism or developmental delays.
• Behavioral Training Techniques
• Proof of current auto insurance, valid unexpired driver's license, and reliable transportation.
• Clear background check/fingerprinting
• We check references, do a thorough background check and operate a drug-free workplace.

Benefits

• Job Types: Part-time support -Saturday, Sunday from 1:00pm-6:00pm

• Pay: Up to $25 per hour based on experience
