The Payroll & Tax Manager will implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions. These transactions will include salaries, commission, bonuses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. The candidate will process sales tax and commissions for the TrueCommerce organization. This role will interact with a diverse group of employees, customers and external vendors.
The Payroll & Tax Manager is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. We also value integrity, team spirit and strong organizational skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for all US entities, Canada, Ireland and Australia.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing system and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Calculate monthly sales commissions for the True Commerce organization.
• Calculate and processes all referral commissions.
• Manage complex issues related to AP and Payroll along with direct reports.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation as appropriate.
• Process sales tax returns for all US entities.
• Handle business registrations and tax agency notices.
• Develop & implement guidelines and procedures for payroll functions.
• Maintain compliance for tax liability.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in full payroll function and related processes including tax, new hire processes, w2s, 401K, hourly or salary.
• Previous experience with Sales Commission calculations and processing.
• Experience using UKG or similar payroll processing system.
• Previous experience using NetSuite a plus!
• Ability to address complex tax questions.
• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
• Diplomatic and professional communication skills a must!
