Wage Range: $52,000-65,000 annually + bonus incentive

Job Summary
MTech Mechanical is a leading mechanical design/build contractor in Colorado, and the majority of our project procurement is negotiated in a design assist/build arrangement. A successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Weekly payroll process:
    • Completes weekly payroll process
    • Processing payroll and tax reporting with bank/government entities
    • Resolves payroll discrepancies
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual tax calculations and reporting such as:
    • Occupations Privilege Tax Returns
    • Payroll taxes: FUTA-form 940; SUTA-form UITR-1 online and .wdf file submittal; Federal taxes-form 941
    • Assists with annual R&E tax credit calculation process
  • Certified payroll reporting;
    • Generates weekly certified payroll reports
    • Coordinates certified payroll reporting of the subcontractors
    • Makes sure certified payroll reports meets DOL requirements
  • Labor Incentive requests processing
  • Demonstrated ability to track multiple projects at the same time, and to work under pressure, often to tight deadlines and with a minimum of supervision
  • Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will possess the following education and experience:
  • Bachelor's and/or Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2-3 years accounting and/or payroll experience, prefer experience in construction accounting.
  • Knowledge and experience in different aspects of corporate accounting
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Solid problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication with people at different levels
