JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading the payment application functions within the Reimbursement and Cash Management team in the National Payments and Adjustment Center (NPAC).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may be assigned.
- Support of Payment Posters questions in order to identify and address training needs.
- Assist in researching and clearing Unapplied Accounts (bank, MCare, MCaid) using PBAR RA Identification function/process.
- Training of all Payment Poster new hires to include:
- Posting of CRJ’s, CAP, MSI, payment corrections, NSF’s, inter-facility (016) payment transfers, and payroll deductions for A/R accounts according to established guidelines
- Researching and clearing Unapplied Accounts (bank, MCare, MCaid) using PBAR RA Identification function/process
- Indexing of TBI documents in the imaging cash file cabinet
- Reviewing ODC Bank ID Report for appropriate patient or insurance code posting, post manual corrections as needed
- Review of daily Unidentified Cash Report in order to prioritize resources.
- Special Projects as assigned.

- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Tenet systems a plus
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team

- Good math, analytical and problem solving skills
- Data entry and 10-key by touch
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of related experience; payment posting a plus
