JOB TITLE: PART-TIME MAIL / LITERATURE CLERK

Non-Exempt Position

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Human Resources

DEPARTMENT: Administration / Dept. #402

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide efficient and accurate handling of our incoming and outgoing mail, literature requests from distributors and sales personnel. Keep stock of literature and other mailroom supplies.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Post all outgoing mail.
  • Sort incoming mail & distribute in mail boxes—including bin for Elizabethtown.
  • Send mail to salesman once per week.
  • Requisition and Stock literature on the mailroom shelves and stock in warehouse.
  • Prepare all literature requests—includes website requests, form requests and emails.
  • Print Owner’s Manuals & Test Certificates that are designated as “print in-house” to maintain a minimum 10 copy shelf level.
  • Prepare binders for stock.
  • Provide materials for binders, mailings, product packets to reception as needed.
  • Backup Receptionist.
  • Responsible for calling for maintenance for mailroom copier.
  • Responsible for maintaining postage machine and postage meter.
  • Responsible for ordering and restocking the supply closet and kitchenette.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or acceptable equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge, postage machine operation, copy machine and fax machine operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift 20-25 lb. literature boxes and mail containers.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Demonstrate a positive and business-like attitude.
  • Conduct all interaction with customers, representatives, co-workers and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous and respectful manner.
  • Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish the effectiveness of the company.
