Part-time Faculty - Medical Assistant program Job at Central Penn College
Central Penn College invites applications for a part-time Medical Assistant Instructor to teach in our Medical Assistant Certification Program at the Summerdale Campus. The successful candidate will provide quality and technically relevant instruction in clinical procedures, lab tests, and patient care. Classes are held Monday from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. during the Fall term which begins in October. Terms are 11 weeks long.
The successful candidate should possess:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Credentialed medical assistant required.
- Phlebotomy certification required.
- Experience in clinical and/or administrative skills.
- Understanding of and compliance with standards of the Medical Assisting Educational Review Board.
- Experience in education and knowledge of evolving education/fieldwork needs, programming trends, and teaching methods.
- Experience employing technology in the classroom. The ability to use online teaching and learning platforms, and the ability to effectively use technology in the everyday work environment.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the students, faculty, and College academic leaders.
