The Role:
As a Paralegal, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will support a Legal Affairs team in a global company that is fast-paced and growing rapidly. This position requires initiative, high attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly with a demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously acquire new competencies. It also requires good judgment, confidentiality, a strong work ethic, a high degree of accountability, and excellent organization skills.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Intake and manage confidentiality, consulting, contractor, sales, sourcing, distributor, and other commercial agreements using SI Group’s templates, with the support of SI Group’s legal counsel
  • Attend conference calls, board meetings, advisory meetings and the like, as required
  • Preparation of all legal documents including minutes of the board meetings, Board and/or Shareholder resolutions, proxies and various transactional legal documents
  • Support the approval and filing of annual accounts by third party service providers and controllership teams
  • Maintain all required KYC/AML/FATCA/CRS documentation for SI Group and each Affiliate Company and support SI Group’s treasury team with responding to KYC requests
  • Filing of legal documents and annual reports with applicable Secretary of State and Commercial Register offices
  • Maintain document control, mainly focusing on the collection, monitoring and tracking of required signatures
  • Daily interaction with the offices and teams of SI Group’s Affiliate Companies
  • Manage and review of legal invoices submitted through Thomson Reuter’s Legal Tracker
  • Maintaining and keeping current all legal files and corporate databases
  • Overseeing the scanning and storing of all legal documents
  • Liaise with external lawyers and other external service providers

Creating Extraordinary Starts With:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of previous work experience as a corporate paralegal with a national or multinational law firm, government agency, or multinational company
  • Paralegal Certificate is preferred
  • Notary Public, with experience having documents authenticated or apostilled for use outside of the United States is preferred, but, if not, it is expected that a Candidate will become a Notary Public shortly after hiring
