Overview
Associate will operate one of many stations along meat processing line. Associate will use automatic wrapper, gas flushing station, scale, and box taper. Associate must know the different cuts of meat and how to place them properly on trays. Ensures that all packages are properly wrapped and labeled for placement in store's display case. Responsible for all finished weights and knowing proper locations of finished items. Helps maintain an accurate inventory of packaging supplies (bags, boxes, etc.) Maintains a clean and safe workstation. Follows plant procedure for disposal of inedible products. Courteous attitude towards fellow employees and follows all meat facility and company procedures. Good basic personal hygiene. Is aware of and respectful of safety hazards and reports them immediately. Mon-Fri work schedule. Starting Rate of $15.00 per hour, with a $3.00 per hour, attendance incentive . Some weekend work required.
Job Qualifications
Ability to operate automatic wrapping station, gas flushing station, scale, and box taper.
Ability to stand for periods of time.
Must know the different cuts of meat and how to display them properly on trays.
Insures all packages are properly wrapped and labeled.
Must be able to lift and move product up to 35lbs.
Must be capable of setting up and tearing down equipment used in production room.
Must follow plant procedures for disposal of inedible products.
Responsible for all finished weighs.
Helps maintain an accurate inventory of packaging supplies (bags, boxes, etc.)
Must maintain a clean and safe workstation.
